A blessed and joyous feast of the Annunciation to you all!
Today is the beginning of our salvation,
The revelation of the eternal mystery!
The Son of God becomes the Son of the Virgin
As Gabriel announces the coming of Grace.
Together with him let us cry to the Theotokos:
Rejoice, O Full of Grace,
The Lord is with You!

Oh Lord and Master of my life
The spirit of idleness, of despondency, of love of power and of idle words, grant me not.
But the spirit of continence of humility patience and love grant unto me thy servant.
Yea, oh Lord and King, grant unto me to perceive mine own offenses and not to judge my brother,
for blessed art thou unto the ages of ages.
~Lenten prayer of St. Ephrem
:: A blessed and fruitful fast to each of you. Please forgive me a sinner.

One day he thinks he's a cat (curling up in their bed every chance he gets).
Other days he wishes he were a chicken (he stares at them longingly in the back yard, wishing they would just give him a chance and see how fun he really is).
Most days, though, he's content just being
our Zoe's dog.

The priest (aka Papa): Blessing the chickens. There is nothing like fresh eggs and those birds are pretty cute too. (Now if we can just convince our new dog that chickens don't like to play-unless your name is Zoe.)
Thea: Taking advantage of the morning sunlight.
Katherine: If there is a spare five minutes, she is at the piano. I love it.
Zoe: Her maternal instincts are on overdrive right now with our (her) new animals. I don't think they mind.

Blessed and Joyous feast of Theophany!
“When Thou wast baptized in the Jordan, O Lord, the worship of the Trinity was made maifest;
for the voice of the Father bare witness to Thee, calling Thee His beloved Son.
And the Spirit in the form of a dove confirmed the certainty of the world.
O Christ our God, Who hast appeared and hast enlightened the world,
Glory be to Thee!”
