They had the lowest tide of the year while we were on the island. Walks on the beach are always wonderful, however, when the tide is low it's awesome. Lot's of beautiful things to explore, more land to cover.
I love how the beach makes people quiet and thoughtful. To be sure the girls ran and played, but they were mostly quiet and a bit contemplative while on the beach. I would often find the girls digging, doodling, picking things up and examining, collecting treasures.
I sure would love to incorporate a little beach life into our homeschooling. :)
